things to do

The Byron Bay Hinterland environs encapsulate nature as diverse as she is breathtaking with sub-tropical rainforests, secluded waterfalls and rolling green hills interspersed with unspoilt townships to be explored and enjoyed.

Nearby Bangalow is one of those country gems, a picturesque, largely nineteenth-century streetscape, dotted with art galleries, antique shops, designer boutiques, homewares stores and cafes, delis and restaurants offering local produce and gourmet goodies.

A community still steeped in tradition and a deep sense of community, Bangalow boasts an eclectic calendar of events, headlined by the annual Billycart Derby in May, Bangalow Music Festival in August, Bangalow Show in November, Bangalow Community Market on the fourth Sunday of each month and Bangalow Farmer’s Market every Saturday from 8am.
